Dear Terry,
First off, I have always appreciated your insight and love reading your advice columns. I was wondering what your thoughts were on using fixed index annuities to supplement retirement income. I would have about 40% of my investments in this type of annuity and the majority of the rest in equities, ETFs and mutual funds.

I would absolutely NOT do this! They will provide for the annuity salesman’s retirement, not yours!!
