Annuity fears
I’m VERY concerned about this debt ceiling. I was thinking of moving some of my retirement (annuity) to a CD or a different IRA account. Any advice or suggestions?

The entire financial system hinges on the good credit of the U.S. government. And they will not default.
Don’t start moving stuff around and taking penalties out of fear. If you’re in an annuity inside your IRA, your payment depends on the credit of the insurer that issued that annuity. And for sure there will be penalties for moving it.
