I don’t have any thoughts on this! The company decided to split its shares. The idea was to make the price lower — but the total value of four shares was equivalent to the former, higher price of one share. The idea is that lower priced stock makes the purchase slightly more accessible to “retail” shareholders. It’s easier to buy 100 shares at a lower price.
but if you read my recent article on “stock slices” you’ll see that even though with just a few dollars can buy small amounts of higher priced stocks.
It’s sort of an optical illusion, not a financial impact. But it seems to be working!
