Assisted living, old and alone
need assisted living soon, 86 yo, alone, no family to help.
Don’t have much money, planning to have elder law help me as I’m have some memory concerns
after a fall & several surgeries.
any suggestions for me ?

Oh, so sorry to hear you are caught in this situation and all alone. Do you have an elder law attorney? If not, you can search for one at www.NAELA.org –the national association of elder law attorneys. You need to get everything in writing– and you need to make that move as soon as possible to get yourself in the best position. You are so wise to be thinking about this now. Are you in the Chicago area? A good elder law attorney will help you find the right assisted living situation.
