Bank Returned stimulus payment
My dad passed on 3/19/21. Stimulus payment was pending a week later but bank returned it. How do I go about getting it back as I believe he is entitled to it?

He IS entitled to it. Tell the bank you contacted me and they have a liability now– though I doubt it will do much good. But maybe they can contact the IRS and let them know they returned it in error.
The IRS has just confirmed that anyone who qualified based on 2020 income (even if a return hasn’t been filed) is entitled to the stimulus of $1400.
If you run into trouble, please contact me by email (terry@terrysavage.com) and I’d like to speak to that bank CEO and get them to revise their policies before anyone else gets caught up in the bank’s error.
