My wife and I are retired what is the best way and most reasonable way to leave are money to children

That’s a big topic – -and a lot depends on how much money you’re talking about, how the money is currently invested, how property is currently titled, how income is received (ie, a lifetime pension?) — and the unknowable: how much money you will need in your lifetime.
