Bucket system
I am interested in 3 bucket system for retirement security. Do you favor a annuity or balanced funds for bucket 2 (3 to 10 years)
I am 62 and my wife is 65. We are very close to having our current living expenses allowing for 3 % inflation based on a 4 % Withdrawal rate.

Ive used both — just to see how they performed. but a lot depends on your other assets and your risk tolerance.
