cashing in our retirement fund

By Terry Savage on August 05, 2018 | Financial Planning / Retirement

In my husbands retirement fund which is handled by Morgan Stanley is down to $104,429.67 every month we are losing money , I want to cash it in & pay off our home $75,313.00 & our car loan $22,917.00 , Morgan Stanley has advised against it for years & our money is getting less & less , my husband is 72 years old , he always goes by what he is advised by Morgan Stanley .

I can’t imagine how you have been losing money for years in the longest and best bull market ever! You need some better advice. It’s hard to do that without knowing more about you — without even knowing where you live! But the alternative is NOT cashing it in — though you will have to start taking required minimum distributions this year, if you didn’t already.
