Checks made out to two people
My daughters boyfriend got a two party settlement check from Wells Fargo and the second party refuses to sign it or sign off despite efforts to speak to her . Wells Fargo won’t reissue and split the checks . Any advice?

If there was a legal settlement, who was your lawyer? And do you have the check in your hands? I would contact the lawyer and demand that the other person sign off on the check. Also if this was a legal settlement, go back to the person/company who was at fault and ask them to divide the amount into two equal checks. The bank can’t do anything about it.

I hate it when people get screwed by the system. And I will try to make a call to the company that paid the settlement, and the lawyer — to get this logjam broken up.
