Chicken money in a Traditional IRA

By Terry Savage on June 25, 2024 | Chicken Money

Dear Terry,
I read your article about Dangerous Stock Market Complacency. I’m 71, have 65% of my money mainly in equity index funds with Vanguard and 35% in bond index funds (Total Bond and Total International Bond). Since you and Warren Buffett like T-Bills as a safe haven, I thought I’d try to find a fund that would give me that advantage, but I can’t figure out what fund will do that.

Ask about a government securities only Money Market fund to use inside your IRA.  Most major companies — Vanguard, Fidelity, etc — have one you can transfer some of your money into.
