Ask Terry Questions Chosen for Mortgage Assistance

Chosen for Mortgage Assistance

By Terry Savage on December 06, 2020 | Housing / Real Estate

Hi Terry –
I received a notification from Cook County via e-mail today that I had been selected to finish an application I submitted about 6 weeks ago for mortgage assistance. I have to complete it by 12/9. I am currently in forbearance with WF (7 months out of a total possible of 12 months). I have a govt. backed mortgage. My question to you is, if I am in fact chosen to receive this assistance, does it jeopardize my forbearance?

Thanks for any guidance.

Terry Says

No, it doesn’t. It gets money to your lender so the forbearance amount isn’t added to the end of your mortgage.
HURRY and finish the application. It is FREE MONEY that will be paid to your lender! Get this done immediately. You are lucky to have been chosen. Only have of the applicants will receive help!
