claim adult son as dependent
my adult son lives with had surgery in 2019 and was inconpaticed for months and had an income of $5,000.00 last year. can I claim him as a depemdemt on my income tax?

I think you’re opening up a box of troubles trying to do that for just one year. I’m assuming he recovered and is/or will be on his own this hear. The dependent deduction just isn’t worth it. And if there’s ever another stimulus, under the same terms as this year’s, he won’t be eligible. I’d just let that idea go — even though if you contributed more than half his support, you could probably take him.
