Concerns on the Stock Market for Senior Citizens

By Terry Savage on March 09, 2020 | Investments

Hi Terry,
I am a 77 year old widow. I have a Roth IRA. Should I make any changes with it?
Thank you.
Sara

That depends on how the IRA is invested — and how much cash you have outside the IRA. If you just want to leave the money to your heirs, then don’t change. In a few years, the market will bounce back. But if you were planning to SPEND that money in the next few years, you are a day late in asking me! I’ve been warning about this for months. I hope it’s not all in a stock fund.
