Cook County Real Estate Exemptions

The single-family house (located in Cook County) is deeded to my mother’s estate (my mother is now deceased). The house was vacant during 2014 but my son is now leasing the house (effective January 1, 2015). Can we apply for any exemptions for either 2014 or 2015?
