coupon rates on Tbills bought through nd in my fidelity ira

By Terry Savage on October 28, 2022 | Chicken Money

Novice at purchasing t bills. I saw i can buy a variety of tbills in my Fidelity Ira, but am confused what is the difference when coupon rates vary from zero to 2 or 3 % with the same yield in some cases, Which are better . Thank You and love your show with John Williams

Fidelity will act as “broker” for outstanding issued Treasury bills, but you will not be buying at the Monday auction. YOu can’t buy T-bills at auctin in an IRA because Treasury doesn’t act as custodian.
If you want to own T-bills outside your IRA, open an account at TreasuryDirect.gov
