Ask Terry Questions Dependent part of the stimulus pay

Dependent part of the stimulus pay

By Terry Savage on May 09, 2020 | Wild Card

Hello I’m so curious to know what happened. On April 14th I filled out the non filers form on the irs website i entered mine and my two children’s information submitted it and was accepted same day but on April 29th when I received the deposit it was only for 1200 and I can’t find any answers anywhere besides having to wait until I file taxes this year to receive their part of the stimulus payment but where I don’t work due to my son being disabled I don’t file a tax return so any information would be so helpful. Do the non filers that used the non filers portal really have to wait until next year to file taxes to receive the 500 a piece for children or is the irs going to send out the dependents payment separate? I’m so confused and thank you for your time -Ashley

Please see the next post about the same situation! I have passed several of these complaints on to the IRS. Either it is a glitch — or they will make a “second pass” to send out money for dependent children. I hope to get a response next week, and will post it prominent.
