Do I need a will to give my house to relative

I only have a house? Do I need a will? Is a will all that I need to give my house to relative? How do I find a lawyer to right that up?

Terry Says

You can change title to your home and bank accounts to Payable on Death or Transfer on Death.
Read this for options: https://legalclarity.org/how-to-change-a-house-title-to-transfer-ownership/

But you might want to consider that you need other legal documents such as a healthcare power of attorney and a living will (end of life instructions). And you need to name someone to carry those powers. Also, what if you are incapacitated because of stroke or dementia? Maybe a “springing” business power of attorney?

So maybe a quick visit with an estate planning attorney in your state would be a good idea. Ask at your local bank or go to www.Search-Attorneys.com.
