Dont’t count cash out of the mix
Trib article Sun 8/10. I don’t understand the part about using credit cards interchange fees. When go to restaurant they charge you unless you pay cash. We use our debit card which you make it sound like we shouldn’t be charged extra fees ? Did we misunderstand about using Zelle,Ach transfer, or debit card. I suppose they can’t tell if it’s debit or credit . Our Pnc card shows debit on front of card.

There should be no interchange fees on debit cars — but each restaurant can set its own standards for applying a charge for use of plastic.
