Economic impact payment missing for my children
Good morning Terry,
My name is Jessica R and am on SSDI I filed a non-filers return 4/13 and it was accepted the same day way before the April 22nd deadline to claim dependents for SSDI recipients. I received my payment of $1200 via direct express on 4/29 but nothing for my children. According to the IRS website if they have already issued my 1200 I’ll have to wait till next year. I can not afford to wait nor should I have to because I met the IRS deadline. Help I’m in a economic crisis I stocked up to stay in and save lives now my kids are paying the price. The irs needs to fix this glitch. Anyway you can help?

You are part of a very large group (I know you’re all on Facebook together) facing this same challenge.
The IRS required you to file for your dependents on very short notice. You did so, and then did not receive checks when you got your own payments.
I know the IRS knows about this because I have pressed the point and even forwarded your posts, explaining how devastating this is.
They will not give me an answer. I will keep trying.
