Economic Impact Payments for adult children
In 2019, our 3 adult children were dependents on our taxes. In 2020, we did not claim them on our taxes and they filed their own taxes.
They have receiver the $1400 Recovery Rebate. I was told by our tax preparer that they should also qualify for the First and Second Economic Impact Payments. They have not received those payments and I am having a hard time finding an answer on if they will get them and how do they claim them.
Big fan of your work and enjoy listening to you on WGN Radio.

If your children were over age 17 in 2019 and were declared on your 2019 tax return as dependents, then they were NOT eligible for the first two stimulus payments. The tax preparer is wrong in this case.
