Electronic Vehicle Tax Credit — separate tax return to get it?
My husband just bought an electric vehicle that qualifies for the $7500 tax credit.
If we file taxes jointly this year, we would be over the maximum salary cap to qualify to take the tax credit.
However, if we file married but separately, he qualifies salary-wise to be able to take the tax credit.
Are there any implications with doing this?
