What can I expect to pay for revocable trust, power of attorney, and living will papers? Thank you.

That all depends on the complexity of your situation and how prepared you are.

If you’re are single, or married and in complete agreement with each other, and have important decisions made BEFORE you meet with your attorney, then it could be less than $5000, depending on where you live.

Those important decisions to be made in advance include:
Who gets what?
Who is the executor or successor trustee once you are gone?

You also need a list of all your assets and how they are titled — your house, savings, and other assets.
And a list of your retirement accounts and their named beneficiaries (these assets pass directly outside your estate plan).
And any life insurance policies.
