Estate Planning Organizing
I am trying to get all of our important papers together so our children know where everything is. I’m seeing all kinds of estate planning organizers/binders online that will help, I.e. nok box but my question is should we have a Bank Safety Deposit Box? I keep hearing different thoughts on boxes so thought I would ask you.
Thank you!

Here’s a link to my personal financial organizer form, which I’ve used for many years. It tells you what you need to save. https://www.terrysavage.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/Personal-Financial-Inventory.pdf
There’s a line in there about where to find your safe deposit box, where you might store valuables like jewelry, cash, coins. But you also need to let people know you have the box, and that they are a signer on the box, and where the key is!! That’s also noted on that form. They should have access to all that info BEFORE the will is read.
And you might enjoy making copies of all that stuff and storing in the cloud, securely.

I’m sure the people who lost everything in the wildfires in CA wished they had done this!
