Exit a Timeshare
My husband bought a timeshare over 20 years ago before we were married. We may have used it 3 times, it’s paid off and maintenance fees are paid (which have gone up tremendously). We want to get rid of it, but the places want money upfront and ‘will refund’ if they don’t sell it. I think these are scams. The company that owns it will let us exit if we meet their criteria, and it’ll cost about $3000 which we don’t have. We are in our 60s and husband lost his job 9 months ago. What are our options?
