Fairness Act — got my benefits!

On WGN you said you would be interested to know how the Fairness Act application process was working. I am a retired teacher and my wife passed away in 2023 and at the time couldn’t apply for survivor’s benefits. On Feb. 13th I completed the application under the Fairness Act by phone. The wait time was almost immediate, and the application process was seamless. The next day I had to go to a Social Security to have our original marriage certificate scanned and sent to the representative. This morning exactly 2 weeks later my bank notified me that a deposit for the back months had been deposited.
One of the most efficient processes I have ever gone through!
