Federal Income Tax Refund
I filed my 2019 federal income tax return – by paper – on February 17, 2020 and am expecting a refund. So far I have not received it. When I check the irs website, it says they have no information. (a) Is this a nation-wide occurence?
(b) How do I find out if the irs even has my return -or- if there is some problem, since I cannot reach them by e-mail or phone .

They are just way, way behind. Your paper return arrived just as they were sending everyone home! Have patience, and know that you’re not alone in waiting for a refund. There is no way to get through to them!
