Fidelity Wealth Advisor Solutions
My Fidelity Advisor suggested I use their Fidelity Wealth Advisor Solutions. Fidelity gets paid to make these referrals which makes me leery. Do you have you have any information on them and what is your opinion? Thank you!
Terry Says
Fidelity financial advisor is an umbrella term for the firm’s financial advice services, ranging from low-cost robo-advisors to full-service wealth management with a personal advisor. I’m not sure exactly what service your advisor is suggesting, but you can be sure it is designed to generate fees.
Fidelity — the name — is like sterling on silver. But many advisors who use the Fidelity platform are also charging you additional fees, perhaps based on the size of the account, or with hidden fees on the mutual funds they put into your account.
My suggestion is to search for a fee-only FIDUCIARY advisor– who does more than just advice on investments, but who is a complete planner — advising you on retirement income strategies, life insurance, estate planning and taxes. The ONLY way I know you will be connected to someone you can trust — and who is not selling some product — is to go through the Wealthramp process.
