Finances

By Terry Savage on May 01, 2022 | Investments

I’ve recently retired and have moved my pension and 401K into an Annuity and Managed accounts.
My funds are disappearing due to the markets. Since I am no longer working and cannot make up the deficit, please advise on the action I should take to try and keep things stable. Thank you

I don’t know who is “managing” your account — but no one can manage through a bear market without sustaining losses. I suggest that in retirement you have about 30% of your assets in a government securities money market fund.
Tell your manager –NO BONDS! And only dividend paying stocks. Or do it yourself using funds at Vanguard and Fidelity.
