1. We setup LADYBIRD DEED for the house we own (currently living)
2. All Bank statements we have POD ( two adult children )
3. All 401K and retirement funds are setup with secondary beneficiaries (Children and grand children)
4. We have a will signed (in front of Notary from the Bank)
5. Signed Designated Health Care Surrogate (for both of us with Notary from the Bank )
6. We are filling the forms downloaded FINANCIAL ORGANIZER from your website.
7. We authorized our adult children to access Bank Locker
We are senior citizens and live in Florida
Do we need an attorney to verify our documents that are already notarized ?
How do we find an honest and reliable one if we need one in Orlando, FL ?
Thank you very much

You seem to have covered most of the bases.

One question: How are your bank accounts and home titled? A ladybird deed and POD designation on bank accounts work if you die. BUT, what if one of you is incapacitated? Have you signed a business power of attorney that lets the other, or your adult children, make decisions about either an account in individual name — or perhaps the need to sell the home (if it is in joint tenancy) ?That would be needed if you need to use the money for custodial care, but one is incapacitated by a stroke or dementia.

A good attorney in your state should review all the documents. Find one at
