financial advisor is in ohio
We moved to Chgo area in 2012–still have our Ohio advisor–wouldn’t it better to have an advisor that you could visit regularly–I feel disconnected
Terry Says: Yes, if you feel “disconnected” it’s time to shop around for someone whom you can visit with on a regular basis. It’s not just the geographical distance that matters. But it seems obvious that you feel “out of sight, out of mind” with your current advisor.
First, decided what kind of “advice”you need. Is it just “investment advice”? Or do you need more financial planning — goal setting, review of finances, insurance, estate planning etc? That will point you in the right direction. When you know, write back and I will give you some suggestions.
