Financial Education
Hi Terry, was listening today on WGN and you are so right about getting financial education from the right sources. Particularly not at the “free dinner” events. I am a CFP retired from my own RIA after 15 years of active fee only (actually hourly) financial planning.
I was a teacher in a past life so using that background also I have been teaching financial topics at the local Heartland Community College in Normal, IL for 16 years in the Continuing Education curriculum.
Currently I teach a class called “Women & the Road to Retirement”. And another for those turning 65, “What Medicare Means for You”. I highly recommend financial education at all ages to learn what they don’t even know to ask. Thank you for all the on-air financial education that you provide. Keep it up. Best wishes, Carol Burroughs,CFP

I decided to leave your name on this post — something I usually don’t do — so people can search you out and look for your courses! Thanks so much for writing and for doing this!
