need to Know if i should keep renting our buy a house my wife has to travel more miles to another job my credit is great already approved for a loan .this would be my first house purchase what if any help i can get for a down payment from the Government.

There’s a lot to know before you make a commitment — and I suggest you might want to contact the National Foundation for Credit Counseling at 800-388-2227 to go over your budget, and let them remind you of costs — property taxes, water/electricity, insurance, etc –you may not have considered.
But that’s not an answer to your question! Since I don’t know what state you live in, I’m going to suggest you google “first time homebuyers assistance” and add your state name. Almost every state has some sort of assistance, either with low rate mortgages, or even help with a down payment.
