Fixed Index Annuities (Avoid these like the plague)
I read your recent article in the Hartford Courant and you made this comment about Fixed Index Annuities. Now you have me scared since I have these in my retirement portfolio. I’m seventy and my wife stills works. We manage to live on my SS and her wages so I haven’t taped into these Fixed Index annuities yet but age 72 is around the corner when the MRDs kick in.
