Foreclosure
Terry, my husband died I tried several way to get the home put in my name but I couldn’t. I paid the mortgage after his death for 3 years but when I had to stop working that’s when It ended up being foreclosed. They gave me $9000 to leave the home and I did. Do I have to pay taxes on that amount? Every time I think about losing a home of 25 years I still cry. Women watch everything!

This is a horrible story. How long ago did this happen? Please write back to the email you receive, giving me more details. It’s something I’d like to investigate. And no, you will not have to pay taxes on this.
