Fraud – Unemployement Letter I received
Terry,
First, I thought I would never be one of many that would receive a letter stating I was laid off from my job in May 2020 (which I was not) and filed for unemployment insurance. It even has my employer and all the wages from the last four quarters/pay periods. My question is the letter is in my previous marriage name. I’m not sure how to file all the paperwork/freeze my accounts even if it’s in my previous last name?? Seeking some advise

Read this article and do everything on this list.
Do it for both your previous name and for your current name — although I’m betting that your one credit report at each bureau will have both names!! They’re pretty good at tracking credit in your SS number. But for the state, use your SS number and claim fraud in your previous name, which was on the letter!
