Fund Scam
My financial advisor put my hard earned savings of 175k dollars in something called FS Energy Power fund. This happened in October of 2016. Not only l have made 1 red cent since it’s inception, and I have lost 80k as of this month. I did some research ,and found this to be an illiquid fund. I feel betrayed. Every time I ask him he tells me not to worry. What are my legal options.Lastly, can I have a consultation with you or one of your associates. I am desperate, and need help. This fund was put for 4 years, and he promised me 4% return.I hardly sleep 2hrs every night and really stressed out. Please help. Thank you.

Yes, you have been scammed! YOu need to report this to Federal authorities. Start here at Finra.org to file a complaint Here is the direct link to the complaint section.
At the same time, file a complaint with the SEC here.
I’m going to gues that this broker does not work for a well-known investment firm. If he did, then you should call the Main office of the firm and ask for the “compliance departemnt” and tell them you are raegistering a complaint with Finra.
But if this is a small-time operator, and a scam artist who is not registered with any securities companies, I suggest you file a police report and document this scam with them. They can’t really do anything. But if he has done it to you, likely there are others in the same position. So notify police where you live — or where his office is.
And please write back and let me know what is happening. YOu’ll feel a lot better once you start taking action.
