Gold IRA
Hi Terry!
Have been a fan and watch you for decades! Makes us old! Lol
I’m still working, age 70, and planning on retiring very soon. I have an annuity (400k+) and thinking of rolling it over to metals. What’s your thoughts on a move like this?
Terry Says
I don’t know the terms of your annuity, but typically you can’t “roll” an annuity into a mutual fund. Please write back and give me some more information about what exactly you own. It’s hard to give advice blindly — especially not knowing your other holdings, your need for income, your financial situation.
As for precious metals, gold has started to perk up lately. Some say it is because crypto has finally proved that it is NOT a substitute for gold as a “store of value.” So while a gold mutual fund might have a small place in your portfolio, it shouldn’t be a major position.
