Government Money Market Funds

By Terry Savage on January 06, 2026 | Chicken Money

With the impending sale of my house I need to find a low risk place to “park” the proceeds from the sale. I intend to use the funds to pay monthly rent on an apartment so it has to be liquid. I seem to recall hearing you suggest a government money market as one low risk option to invest funds on one of your programs. Did I hear you correctly?

Terry Says

Yes, and every major mutual fund company offers this kind of MM fund.
For example, here’s a link to Fidelity’s Govt Cash Reserves Fund.

The symbol is FDRXX
