Heading toward retirement question re 401K

By Terry Savage on May 22, 2025 | Financial Planning / Retirement

Hi Terry, I hope to retire in the next year or two. I am 66 1/2. I only have about $10K cash. Should I forgo contributing to my 401K and put more money into my savings account going forward? Thank you for your time Terry!!

Terry Says

Well, that’s a tough question. If you get a company “match” on your 40lk contribution, you should definitely contribute.
