Help for trust for disabled child

By Terry Savage on September 17, 2024 | Wild Card

I have been searching everywhere for an institution that will not only keep my child’s money in a trust after I pass, but will also distribute it. This is for children with mental health issues, who will blow through money without having to account for it in the form of a rent contract, car payment, etc. that an institution can pay out to without having the adult child having access to any cash when they are unable due to multiple issues. I don’t want my child to be penniless, but I don’t want his siblings to have to be in the middle of this either. There used to be “trust facilities” that paid funds directly to landlords, etc. whom of course charged a fee to do so. Where have they all gone? Thank you, Terry. You have been my inspiration for years.
