How to hold t bills

By Terry Savage on December 18, 2022 | Chicken Money

Hi Terry, at the AARP Maximizing Your Money Summit you told me to buy the t bills using money from my personal checking account, not brokerage money market, and to buy in the name of my revocable trust. I’m not sure I understand why I should use my trust but my question is should I open a treasurydirect account in my trusts name using my personal checking account as source for the funds?
Thanks for your help,

Terry Says

Yes, you can. You name the T-bills in your trust so that they can be distributed to your heirs without probate if you die while you own them. Your trust uses your SS number.
