how to invest my savings money?

By Terry Savage on April 06, 2022 | Chicken Money

I have investments worth 300,00 doing ok
I have 400,00 in savings
looking for advice for that savings money
is there an idea of investing that savings money and live off the interest of that money? but not be required to keep that money with rules on when I can take it out?

Terry Says

These days there is no way to live off your interest — because you can’t safely get ANY interest to speak of. The Fed has kept rates low, and banks don’t need to attract deposits with high rates.
But short-term rates are creeping higher. If this is truly “chicken money” — money you can’t afford to lose — then leave it in the bank, and wait for rates to move higher. You’ll still fall behind inflation, but maybe not so quickly.
