I bond interest
Hi Terry,
I bought $5,500 I bond in 4/22 at I think 9%. I looked at my treasury direct account today and don’t see any interest posted, it still says $5,500. Am I not earning on it?
Also, I didn’t title it with a POD or beneficiary, is that an issue?

The interest doesn’t get posted until the 5th month! Long story — it accounts for potential 3 mo penalty, and then an additional month as interest is posted at the end of the month.
It will drop into your account. Just wait another month!
You can always add a beneficiary. Just put “add beneficiary” in search box.
