I bond interest
I bought $10000 I bond on 7/20/22. Is interest figured from May2022 or 7/20/22. I heard you say on WGN that it was figured from May. The website says it is from the date of purchase. Thank You.

Read my latest column. No matter when you buy the bond during that 6-month period, you get 6 full months of interest at the promised rate before the next 6-month period starts at new rates that will be set in November.
