1. How do I name a beneficiary for my Ibond investment?
2. Can a living trust own an Ibond since the owner would use his same SS # for both?

Yes, you can add the words POD to your purchase
And yes, you can buy up to $10k EACH — for yourself and your RLT — even though they both use the same SS number.
