I Bonds
I have heard that a husband & wife can purchase I Bonds totaling $20,000 per year. Do we have to open 2 Treasury Direct Accounts and each purchase a bond as primary owner or is there a way to purchase two in a single account with both of us as joint owners? I can’t figure out how to open a joint account or how to purchase a bond

You must EACH open an account at TreasuryDirect.gov. And then you can each buy $10,000 worth of I-bonds. Read this article for instructions.
