I bonds deadline
My husband & I, 75 yrs old, in pretty good financial shape, teachers pension.
After nagging he purchased an I bond, 4/20/23, I was just preparing to purchase 1 for myself, but heard your new info on Wgn. Should I not buy before May 1?
Terry Says
Are you willing to tie up the money for 5 years — even if rates drop in the future? If so, go ahead and buy. But you’ll need your own separate account at TreasuryDirect.gov. Do it immediately because the current high rate (which you’ll get for a full 6 months) will no longer be offered after the close of business on Thursday.
