I Bonds — wrong rate?

We purchased I Bonds in May 2022 at what I thought was 9.62%. Looking at our holding summary on treasurydirect.gov, it only shows 6.48%. Am I missing something here? Thanks

Did you purchase them after May 1st, when the rate adjusted? If you think there was a problem please send me your contact information by responding to the email you receive saying your question has been answered. Describe the situation, and you can include your account number (but not your password) and I will pass it on to my contact at Treasury.
