I already purchased an iBond in my friends name.
Do you know – Is it his if I die and does it avoid probate EVEN if I forget to execute the gift box at TD

What do you mean “purchased on your friends name”?
Did you name him/her as a co-owner?
Is your TreasuryDirect account in your name only?
