Applied for IBonds on Saturday Oct. 22nd. Got an email thanking me for opening an account but money was never taken from my account.

Go back to your account and make sure that you actually submitted an order (vs just opening the account). If you don’t see it, order again ASAP! The worst that can happen is you buy both — and they will refund your money since you can’t buy over $10,000.
